One of the reality checks I share up front with all of my book author clients – whether they are writing a creative non-fiction memoir, self-help non-fiction teaching book, or any other genre – is that they will be responsible for doing all of the ongoing promotion for their book and platform.
Until recently, I didn’t see the point of writing a blog or doing social media. My writing, coaching, and book editing and ghostwriting business had launched and developed quite successfully with direct mail marketing and lots of referrals from happy clients. I was busy and so was my team of independent contractors.

Do you remember your first big moment as a writer? Although I’m privileged to serve writers and authors as a memoir and self-help non-fiction ghostwriter, editor, platform developer, and writer coach, I’ll never forget my first memorable byline. It came when I was a seventeen-year-old high school senior in Tucson, AZ.
Adam Colwell’s WriteWorks and John O’Hair, Headmaster at Tucson’s Desert Christian High School, are now well into the first draft of his upcoming book on dealing with pain and guilt and living in the joy and freedom of your faith in God. John hopes to publish by 2017.
