Dr. Catherine Allen is a writer, speaker, vocal coach, and musician. She received her bachelor’s degree from Wellesley College in French language and literature, her master’s degree in music from the New England Conservatory, and her doctorate from the University of Arizona with a major in vocal performance and a minor in theatre arts.

Catherine writes essays, articles, devotionals, plays, poetry, and children’s literature. Her articles have appeared in such publications as the MIVT newsletter and the San Manuel Miner. Her plays, including Wise Men Still Seek Him, The Story of the First Rainbow, and Doe-a-Deer, have been performed in schools and churches. “I seek to raise the sights of readers beyond this world; to provide a lens that not only sharpens focus, but also reveals what might otherwise remain unseen. I aspire to ignite a new or renewed vision of the surpassing greatness and goodness of God, and of the extraordinary future He is preparing for us, even now, in the heavenly realm.” Catherine lives in Tucson, AZ.

Gigi Cook is obsessed with words. She likes to say them, she likes to read them and particularly she likes to write with them. Gigi has served as corporate trainer for an international training organization as well as on-staff contributor to nationally syndicated radio programs. She is dedicated to encouraging and inspiring others, and has a master’s degree in psychology and is currently collecting stories for later publication. Gigi, her husband and their dog live in Utah running a small antique business while contributing time, love, and energy to local Christian ministry.

Peggy Bayless Gustave as a novelist and short story writer who also extends her work beyond writing fiction to include working as a news editor and devotional writer. She has written and published hundreds of devotionals and news articles through The Presidential Prayer Team, and has written three soon-to-be-published books. A single mom of two adult children, Peggy lives in Phoenix, AZ.

Carol was a devotional writer for The Internet Café for seven years. She writes for her own blog site, Sheep to the Right, as well as a monthly family funny column called “Giggles and Grace” for Just 18 Summers, a new website for parents. She is also on the writing staff for the Presidential Prayer Team where she writes devotions and news articles.

An entertaining international speaker, this southern belle speaks for women’s retreats, church circles and M.O.P.S. groups. She and her husband are marriage mentors and often teach and speak on the topic. You may also find her at Phillips State Prison where she frequently teaches and works with the prisoners who are a part of the New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary ministry degree program.

Carol received a bachelor’s degree in pre-teaching/language arts and a master’s degree in curriculum and instruction, both from the University of Tennessee. Carol taught elementary school for six years before trading being called “Mrs. Hatcher” for “Mommy.” Carol and her husband Alan are working to become Everyday Missionaries in Buford, GA as they teach their three children, Colin, Faith and Grace, to serve others one tweet and post at a time.

Jeana Kamp’s specialty is the short devotional meditation for which she gives biblical background material for thought and an application for daily living. Her work in education and business environments provide an assortment of experiences from which to draw applications of lessons from the Bible. Her desire for her devotional writing is that the love of God will be evident to each reader.

Jeana was a widow for 12 years but recently remarried. She and her husband live in Gilbert, AZ. She has a daughter and several stepchildren, all with families of their own. One of Jeana’s greatest joys is studying and playing with her grandchildren.

Holly Meade has a calling to share God’s creative and compassionate love with others. As a result, Holly has had the privilege of creating and managing content for Christian media for over 20 years. Her portfolio includes producing Campus Crusade for Christ’s worldwide radio and television programs, writing for various Christian radio hosts, and managing campaigns for a national radio network. With a master’s degree from the University of Florida, Holly also has taught college journalism and mass communication classes to future journalists.

Holly is a long-distance runner and has completed six half-marathons. She is a raw food chef and loves encouraging others to seek excellent health and wellness.

As a Bible teacher, inspirational writer, and certified lay speaker, nothing gives Andrea more pleasure than showing people the love of Christ, sharing the Good News with them, and giving them hope, inspiration and peace in their spiritual journeys. Andrea’s devotions, creative non-fiction stories and blog posts have captured readers’ hearts around the world and been translated into a number of languages. Her own inspirational blog, “Broken Hearts, Redeemed,” helps families survive high-risk pregnancies or heal emotionally, physically and spiritually from the loss of a child during pregnancy or at birth.

Her creative non-fiction, fiction and technical writing has appeared in books, including Chicken Soup for the Soul and Guidepost publications, blogs, secular and religious magazines and newspapers, teaching manuals and theater productions. Andrea is also co-owner of The Ingenium Communicator Group that provides freelance copywriting and editing in inspirational and technical markets for individual and B2B clients. Her professional memberships include American Writers and Artists, Inc., Freelance Writers Den, American Christian Writers Association, and Tucson Christian Writers, where she serves as coordinator and educator.

Connie L. Peters is a freelance writer with over 30 years of experience. She writes fiction, poetry and devotionals for adults and children. She currently writes devotionals for The Presidential Prayer Team, The Pagosa Sun’s “A Matter of Faith” column, and The Scribette newsletter for the Southwest Christian Writers Association.

Connie’s work has appeared in numerous publications and websites including Focus on the Family, The Christian Communicator and various anthologies. Connie has served on the board of Southwest Christian Writers Association for the past 20 years. She has written a poem a day since October 2004 and posts frequently with Writers Digest’s Poetic Asides and the Phoenix Rising Poetry Guild.

Connie lives in Cortez, CO where she and her husband Loren host two adults with developmental disabilities. Connie and Loren have two grown children, Lori and Eli, who both live in Arizona. Jim Ray is a seasoned storyteller with 20 years of experience writing devotionals and other compelling content for leading ministries across the United States. The child of missionaries who traveled the world, Jim brings an expansive sense of history and unique worldly-wise perspective to his projects. He has been published or broadcast over 2,000 times: in addition to his many devotionals, Jim writes appeal letters, magazine articles, marketing pieces, radio scripts and has contributed to several books.

He has worked in advancement for such organizations as the University of Missouri, Family Life Radio, and the American Red Cross. He currently serves as Gift Planning Representative for the International Fellowship of Christians and Jews.

Amy Wyatt is a wife, mother, speaker, Bible study teacher, writer and disability advocate. She received her bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of South Carolina and has a master’s degree in education with an emphasis in leadership studies from Indiana University. Since 2007, Amy has traveled the country speaking for Epilepsy Advocate LIVE (Learning from Inspiring Voices with Epilepsy), an education program for those whose lives have been touched by epilepsy. She also serves on the Epilepsy Advocate Magazine Editorial Board and speaks for women’s events, M.O.P.S. Groups, schools and health care worker organizations.

Amy has been published in Chicken Soup for the Caregivers Soul and Chicken Soup for the Soul Miracles Happen. She has also written devotionals for Five Minutes for Faith, Writer Interrupted, and The Presidential Prayer Team. Amy resides in Dacula, GA with her husband Greg and two children Spencer and Mary Lyndsey.

Jenne Acevedo is a freelance editor, writer, and speaker. Her passion is encouraging others to find their worth and hope in Christ. Acevedo Word Solutions LLC was created to inspire others through spoken and written words. Sharing her story of overcoming anxiety as a believer has allowed her to help many struggling women find hope and joy in Christ.

Jenne has written articles for websites, church magazines, anthologies, and Group Publishing. Her devotions have appeared both online and in print for MOPS International, Power to Change, and other devotional compilations. She has spoken at MOPS International, women’s groups in local churches, writers groups, and PENCON (the only convention for editors in the Christian market). She is a contributing member of The Christian PEN: Proofreaders and Editors Network, a member of American Christian Writers Association, and the Director of PENCON. She was trained at Speak Up with Confidence and holds certificates from multiple editing courses. She holds a bachelor’s degree in French from Arizona State University and enjoyed a semester abroad studying in Paris. Finally, Jenne started the Chandler Writer’s Group, a chapter of American Christian Writers.

As an editor and journalist with more than 25 years writing experience, Janis’ feature stories have appeared in a variety of media including company publications, newspapers, an airline magazine, and the magazine/newspaper she edited for her local Christian community. While in the field of public relations, Janis received awards from the International Association of Business Communicators for her writing and editing.

Janis’ experience also includes working with special education students and leading teacher training meetings in the best methods to instruct children with Attention Deficit Disorder. She and her husband, Tom, live in the Saguaro-dotted hills of Southern Arizona. They have two adult sons whom they adopted and one daughter-in-law.
